Two validated winter detections, coordinates generalised. No evidence of local breeding. National status is Critically Endangered.

Interpretation

The AOI is occasional winter forage, not a population stronghold. Clearing of flowering Grey Box and Forest Red Gum is a candidate pressure on a species whose fate is decided mostly elsewhere.

Significance

Threatened-species intelligence must not inflate two winter records into occupancy of a resident population.
